Maybe at the beginning of your career it was necessary to struggle away at problems because you just didn’t have the resources to spend on fixing them.
At what point, though, do you stop?
There’s a certain level of success where your time is measurably valuable – and when you weigh that against the problem in front of you, it’s simply not worth it for you to persist in trying to solve it. Not when there are experts you could pay, and the problem would simply vanish.
